WHITE SUPREMACY IS ALL AROUND CREWNECK SWEATSHIRT
Change Cadet x "PHIL AMERICA" (both from Sacramento, California) collaborated on this commemorative sweatshirt. The title of Dr. Cadet's forthcoming book White Supremacy is All Around: Notes From a Black Disabled Woman in a White World is based off of the holiday movie Love Actually...you know because "love actually is all around"...just like white supremacy. "PHIL AMERICA" came up with a concept of using the font and flower (calla lily) of the Black Panthers to honor Dr. Cadet's activism and connection to the Black Panthers. Her grandfather had a shoe shop in her hometown below the Black Panthers office. Her mother made dashikis (Dashiki House) sold in the shop that the Black Panthers wore. The back of the sweatshirt honors her mother and our collective history as Black people in America along with the importance of dismantling white supremacy.
